QFT.

Although Sprite Remix was pretty amazing as well. Seriously.

If it came down to a life and death decision between the two sodas I try to avoid, Coke would win. What other reasons besides the fact that it used to have actual cocaine in it AND was green. Seriously. I miss the late 1800's.

That would make a lot of sense I think.

That's what I heard, I heard it's also 2nd highest grossing 7-11 in the united states. (the world?)

The owner is a really cool guy too, gives us free refills and stuff all the time.

Dr. Pepper for sure. But if theres no choice I take coke.
  • GwahirGwahir Join Date: 2002-04-24 Member: 513Members, Constellation
Dr. Pepper I like, but for this thread coke. I often choose coke over Dr. Pepper but it depends on my mood.

Guys... they're almost the same thing. Except Pepsi has a little more sugar, which is why it wins the "Pepsi Challenge"; because it tasted better if you only have a little bit.

Now, for a quality soda, get Dr. Pepper. And none of that cheap immitation crap. Only the real stuff.

Trust me on this. In a blind taste-test, I was able to pick out Dr. Pepper among knock-offs.
  • R_A_CR_A_C Join Date: 2003-05-13 Member: 16273Members
But you can almost always tell the difference between the real thing and a knock-off if you've drunken enough of the real deal in the past. I've noticed this with lots of different kinds.

I alternate between Coca Cola and Pepsi, so that neither company will dominate the market completely. Therefore, more yummy new drinks!*

    *horribly flawed logic.

So can I. First you have to eat dog **** though, then you can always tell exactly what Dr. Pepper tastes like.

Pepsi tastes terrible, but Coke isn't much better (I can usually only bother drinking 1, or 2 at most) - makes my throat feel all ...fizzly, like it's caked with sugar or something .

I prefer apple juice and canned ice tea (12 cans a day makes the urine stay....or something). Mountain Dew is a decent tasting soda (as is Dr. Pepper, Sprite [both of whose commercials suck beyond belief], Mellow Yellow or Mr. Pibb [almost pushing it ]).

    Chocolate milk is good too.

Coleman, tell me what you think about that news item I sent you in the aim window. I want to hear your reaction. Scary stuff, no?

I usually go with water. If I get soda, then I get root beer (A&W preferably), or possibly a lemon lime drink. I honestly can't remember the last time I had Pepsi or Coke, but both of them taste ok.

I heard that they taste exactly the same, and the only thing that makes people prefer one over the other is psychological stuff.
That being said, I prefer cola for the taste.

Over here in the UK Coke is by far more popular than Pepsi, most of the population prefer Coke. Although i prefer Diet Coke but Dr. Pepper is my real favorite, when i'm on soft drinks anyway......

Coke all the way. Preferrably mixed 2:1 with tonic water for that extra freshness. Pepsi is just too sweet.

Artificial sweeteners can just go sod themselves. So can fat people with a mountain of food on their plate, who then drink a diet coke with it because they "have to watch their weight."

Finally, an interesting bit of information: A schoolmate of mine was allergic to citric acid (a not altogether uncommon allergy). He told me that he cannot drink pepsi, because it contains just that. Coke on the other hand uses phosphoric acid.

Dr. Pepper, but I guess you're too scared to put it in this fight because it will be the default win for Dr. Pepper.

I doubt it. Nobody outside the states has ever heard of Dr. Pepper. And we out number you about 21.7 to one.
