Actually the heavy rumors were that the Xbox 360 wouldn't have a hard drive out of the box, rather an external one you could purchase as an accessory which would unlock "mp3" features and what not.

Also that shot is a render if no one has pointed it out, that extreme gradient is the culprit.

I don't like that CD tray though. I think they should have the tray on the top. Maybe have a cover that moves up and slides away, revealing the CD tray, which slides up.

Personally, I read somewhere or other that it would be coming in 3 incarnations. 1 basic game playing version, one with a small hard disk and one with a large hard disk. I remember reading something about browser functionality being built into the top two I think.

I must say it doesn't look that great. And I agree that they shouldn't of used 360 if it will still be in the final version. But maybe it looks better in person (other angle shots would help).

Wireless controllers would be incredible. The substitute to having to use replaceable batteries would be to use a battery pack and have it so that you could plug the controllers into the wall, so you could recharge them.
