Private Robert Dunsby was sitting in the atrium in the <i>TSA Ferdinand</i> looking out at the large, reddish planet of Krayn when he recieved a message on his communicator that he was to report directly to MTAC. Robert jumped out of his seat and ran down to the elevators and arrived in MTAC-0445. There was a commotion like Robert had never seen before. Gear was out of storage, data pads were all over and numerous noncoms and tactical analysis personnel were running around like monkeys in a circus.
"Yo Robert! You got any idea what's going on man?" said his buddy Private Rick Trellis.
"No idea...I was sitting around when I got the priority alert to report here." Robert replied.
"Alright man, let's go see..."
Rick never got a chance to finish. A well-built Asian man of about 36 stepped out into the middle of the chaos and started shouting.
"Alright, all of you! Shut the hell up and let me talk!" he said.
The room grew quiet as all eyes turned to this man.
"All of you are undoubtedly wondering who I am. Well let me introduce myself. I am Commander Jin Naturo. All of you are wondering what I'm doing here because you've never seen me before. I've just been appointed the new commanding officer of the 1st SFOD-D. That means I'll be leading all of you guys into combat."
There was a bunch of murmmuring going on throughout the MTAC control center. Commander Naturo seemed to realize this and let it calm down a minute.
"Now ladies, if you're done bitching, we can get on with the briefing."
Everyone immediately stopped talking and gave their undivided attention to him.
"The reason you all are down here is that at approximately 1400 hours, a large mass of Kharaa warriors attacked the TSA Sigma base. These were not just any warriors. These were cream-of-the-crop elite Kharaa. All Marine personnel inside the base, despite being armed, were killed with the exception of 2 Data Specialists. The subjects in question are Timothy Rollins and Katylin Morris.
"Your primary objective is to infiltrate Sigma Base and retrieve both subjects. Your secondary obective is to eliminate the Kharaa force if at all possible. Before I dismiss you to pack your gear and get on the transports, I must warn you. These Kaharra warriors are holy warriors and tear the heart out of all of their targets, I kid you not. Having said that, I only have one thing to tell you men: Good luck."
As Commander Naturo walked away and into an office, Robert started to believe that this was going to be one long day. Not only for him, but for the most elite special forces team ever...Delta Force.

about the story. i liked the way you introduced the characters, especially the commander. your dialogue is also done pretty well.
