Prey Alone
<div class="IPBDescription">short film</div> <a href='http://www.saintandmather.com/' target='_blank'>The Official Site</a>
<a href='http://www.pocketmovies.net/detail_306.html' target='_blank'>The trailer</a>
<a href='http://www.jonny3d.com/html/__main.htm' target='_blank'>The full film</a>
Personally, I found it a very enjoyable film, if a little dark (literally).
You may discuss any and all aspects of the film below, but no mentions of gorges.

e/ I'm not too fond of how every light had practically the same style. That and it seemed like they were trying to prove how good the CG shots were by constantly having the camera moving, even in dialoge shots. (prison and NSA guy talking) It's true, it is also a little dark but i suppose thats just covering up the lack of detail with some of the shots. All in all, it's still very good. Just not the best CG, but certainly not the worst either.
WMP nor winamp could play it?
Do I need divx installed? best to my knowledge, that codec is signified with an .avi extention.
avi is a swiss army knife, it's a wrapper for many other codecs.

Swiss army knives don't wrap.

And rightly so.

More to the topic, <span style='color:red'>TOOT TOOT!</span>
Or more, I found the camera movement a good device actually, kinda similar to 24.
sux to be the nsa guy too once he realises what hes in.
Restart...
Hate to be him...
Nope, just updated DivX and it's not playing for me.
Use that to find out what codec.
Rearrange the letters in Prey Alone. Guess what it spells!
Yeah. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Hopefully vague and spoilerless enough for all those who can't watch it <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I got it working!
I installed PowerDVD and it played fine!
...and I think I have found the source of the problem. Yes, it is a mpeg video. Yes, WMP can play mpeg video. But, what if a particular mpeg video uses an mpeg-2 audio codec?
At least, this is what I was referred to when I clicked on 'web help' in the error window WMP displayed. It appears that Prey Alone was encoded with an Mpeg-2 audio codec.
So bottom line: You will need to play this video with software that you can play a DVD movie on...or at least one that has an Mpeg-2 audio codec equipped.
As for my thoughts on the movie?
FRIKKIN GREAT WITH A DASH OF UBER AND A TABLESPOON OF AWESOME <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Honestly, I have not seen a full motion picture action film that was that entertaining as of late!
I was quite impressed, and I loved the ending!
woot!
But I've got all sorts of crazy codecs. I couldn't name them, but they're there.
But wow, that was really cool and really well done, I was quite impressed despite a few problems here and there.
Okay, think about the ending. Think about why the film is weird.

But I would think just pointing to the ending would be enough to give it away...
Here's an idea...
crude spoiler tag:

Or at least some kind of twist like that</span><!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
