From the early shots, where Link's in his nasty-bum atire, it seems as though his tunic and hat build up through the game. Considering he only has a torn up sleeve from the pictures we've seen him in.

I happen to be crazy about fencing. The elf-woman has nothing on me.

Perhaps they wanted to give her a bigger part since the series is named after her, yet in her first incarnation I believe her only line was "EEK!".

-Zelda & Ganon will be in it, though how they'll figure into the story isn't known.
-Fishing & cucco gliding return.
-No GBA connectivity.
-There will be a significant item in the game, similar to how the ocarina in Ocarina of Time and the wind baton in Wind Waker were significant.
-According to Eiji Aonuma, the subtitle of the game has not been decided on yet. They're currently going for a mysterious title, which you'd have to play the game to understand.
-Battle will be similar to Wind Waker, with some minor new things, such as a new jumping downward thrust.
-As speculated, Link will communicate with animals, but Aonuma did not want to reveal any specific details regarding this.
-Whether a 'sidekick' for Link should be included is still being debated on. I'm assuming this would be similar to how Navi helped Link in Ocarina of Time.

He used magic in OOT.... in his first incarnation anyway.
EDIT: Is Link wearing chainmail under his tunic? If so, awesome. It's about time he wised up and got some light protection.

Speaking of EEK, where is that dissagreeable sumbitch anyway, I miss him.
Yeah he was. I talked with him a bunch and I didn't even know he was Uranium-235. I miss him as well.
Back on-topic: I have hopes that this game might surpass OoT. It just looks like the storyline here is going to be frickin _awesome_. You start out as farmer Link or something, and you work your way up to being a big hero? They could turn this into (one of) the greatest plotlines of any Zelda game.
What's more is that Zelda might have a non-negligable role for once!! God knows, if the folks at Nintendo are kind enough, she may even be PLAYABLE. Aahhhh I can only wish. But I'm tired of the helpless princess BS. FFS if they aren't going to do anything but be saved, the game is better off without them. Who rescues maidens nowadays anyway? By the Eld, if I was a Knight cruising at high speeds on my horse and there was a Damsel in Distress on the side of the gravel path, I'd probably be going too fast to even notice or care.
But see that sword in her hand? See it? That could mean <i>change.</i>
The water temple was probably the most frusturating dungeon that I've ever played, in any video game, that was still fun. The longshot was definately a nice reward.
