Help With Installation

I really want to play NS and have Steam (HL2 collectors edition). I read in the forum that you need half life to play it not half life:source. I have half life:source. Does this mean that there is no way for me to play? I installed NS into the correct folder(i think...) but how do I go about actually starting the game up. There is no shortcut to it and it does not show up in the third patry games section of the "play games" window.

If it is a retail or bronze package then HL (original) does not come with it, and you need a copy of original HL or CS to play NS. If nothing else, those games are about 10 bucks nowadays <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
if you have the silver or gold pack off steam you should make sure to have HL installed and run the training level once, then reinstall NS. You should not need to select the folder if i recall....
