Apparently, Discovery is going to be doing a special called "Alien Planet", and it looks like it'll be in the style of Walking With Dinosaurs. The introduction to the site is pretty cool:

    This was all taken from a book, Expedition, by Wayne Douglas Barlowe, for those who don't know <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> All the talk about "what scientists believe" just seemed quite funny to me, having bought the book.

    EDIT: actually, change "funny" to "slightly angering" I just noticed he's only credited with being an artist, where he's the one who came up with every animal and even the planet and idea that this show seems to be using.

    For some reason, I didn't really dig the CG much. It seemed too...cartoonish. I mean, it looked cool, but for some reason it just didn't work for me.
