<div class="IPBDescription">afterthot of ..."the incredibles"</div> dont we all want to live a life that's full of adventure?
in our imagination we save our love ones, defeat the evil, sleep with alines, advnace on xenoforms, and blah

but we all gatta pay our bills, gas still costs money, there's no immediate threat to the earth, apocalype's still a long way to go (for those that believes, for those that dont, replace the word with "ragnorok"), we gatta worry about our grades, our love ones dont love us back == and such.

...amazing how that movie can envoke that train of thought. Must've been much deeper than I percepted.

Why not find interesting things in the mundane instead of wishing for something not able to be reached? You'll never be happy if you're constantly wanting more. Be content with what you have, don't worry about tomorrow.

Riddle me this guys, did this guy just end up rethinking his entire life after watching "The Incredibles"?

Should I go see it again, because I think I missed something vital in that movie...

That's silly. You don't know how unincredible your life is.

    You CAN'T know that.

Why? Because you're the one living it. Unless you can become someone else, and watch your own life, you won't know what to value the things you are now taking for granted.

Virtual reality, folks. It can't be too far off what with that new Sony gadget that uses hypersonic pulses to pulse signals right to your brain.

Besides, as some random mercenary said in Far Cry, "When things start getting interesting, your life starts getting short."
    <span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'>or something like that</span>

[edit]I would really, really, like to pay a visit to the Neuromancer universe. Though by the time anyone decides to invest in virtual reality, that world will already be here.

welll I'm sure on some level everyone would like more adventure in their life somewhere (even if it's just in the bedroom by the looks of some alien-mentioning posts here o.O ) but life's what you make of it to some degree.

Some people spend their lives just enjoying entertainment like TV and stuff living mostly in their house.
Some people go to weird and wonderful places where they can learn ancient or just downright cool things orrrr conversely, get kidnapped, shot, etc.

If you're really serious about getting more out of things then the only person who can change that is you :p
You might not be able to slay dragons but you can still do things like going on adventures, caving, river rapids, join the fire fighters and do some real heroics, etc.
    ^^
