Gorges Are Welders?

<div class="IPBDescription">Must be a bug...or not</div> I'm too sure but I think I remember a few months back that someone mentioned that aliens can unweld stuff. The reason I ask this is because while I was playing marines I notice some welded vents were unwelded. I welded them personally so I dunno if its a bug or can aliens unweld stuff.

    I seriously doubt that. The gorge equivalent to the welder is it's healing spray, and I don't see it being able to soften the metal it hits and then instantly repair with a stream of nano-thingies....

    I've seen a lot of useless weld spots btw... It seems a lot of vents and doorways have bars in the road that aliens can walk under and marines can duck under... Especially weird as a skulk since I seem to be able to past straight through these bars if they are blocking vents...

    EDIT: Sorry, I just remember that some welds have health. These welds can be attack by aliens until they are destroyed, and then the weld is gone for good.

    Ok, thats an unwelded vent. The bar simply represents WHERE the marines have to weld, so people can pass through it normally. If a marine concentrates his welder on that bar for long enough the vent closes.

    On some maps the bars are transparent, which makes it a little easier to understand.

    Actually, some vents with the bars allow aliens to enter but not marines. If the marine weldsd the bar it breaks then they an enter too. There are 2 types.
