    haha thats awesome, just lightsabers usually dont make red shadows....

    Too bad its so vague, i want to be able to figure out what brands/craftspeople make the best ones. And how much 'battery' life they get.

    Hey, may be the lightsaber is somewhat transparent, so it may have colored shadow, like the plastic sheet's.

    Popular opinion suggests that the lightsaber is actually very conservative when it comes to actual energy usage, and the one power cell contains enough power to more than outlast the lifespan of the user. I am not sure if that still applies to races that live for say 900 years or so.

    Actually there were a few things they didn't cover, such as just how the energy blade length is determined, or the approximate temperature of the blade (which would once and for all end the 'is it hot or cold?' argument).

    I suggest that is mainly a ploy to ween the stupid jedi from the herd. Tell the jedi to get at least 3 miles away from their lightsaber and turn it on remotely via droid, meanwhile some bandit swoops in and *yonk* one more priceless lightsaber for sale on the black market...

    Actually... a light sabre would be most akin to a plasma torch, but longer

    Blade leangth, shape, and power is determined via an electromagnetic field used to contain the blades plasma base


    Yes... it's VERY hot... it will instantly cauterize any wound inflicted (eg, Vader vs Luke )
