more suspense and drama!!!! i like being scared to death only reason i play ns is cause you dont know whats going to pop around the corner next.
i like goin into dark rooms wher the water is driping from pipes etc etc.
also thay should make the ambiance music/noises a little louder.
ohh yea and infra red lights for both teams

Some cool new toys on both sides would be nice. One of the things that I hope the most for being implimented into NS:S is damage sprites. Like when you hit a metal object with the crowbar in HL2 it makes a "dent" into the metal. It's would be awesome to see the dent have the characteristic shape of the lifeform's claws or teeth that did that damage. Say someone does a hit and run you could tell the difference between if a skulk, lerk, or fade was there.

Honestly, i dont think HL2 engine is all that great with handling big open areas without generating too much lag. Im little bit disappointed with the engine really, its laggy and something like ladders are impossible to "use" (HL2DM).
Ive seen maps with vehicles and only thing i can tell is that its a lag hell.

I voted for more weapons, with Alt fire a close second. Next would be expanded tech tree, but really, all those things need to be added
Following the example of Alien and Jonesy, the cat aboard the Nostromo, all marines in NS:S will be issued a kitten carried in a backpack. The kitten tracking system (KTS) will replace motion tracking as a proximity warning for detecting Kharaa lifeforms and structures.
The standard issue kitten will become restless when aliens are nearby, and hiss/puff up if one is directly sighted. If a marine accidentally lets the cat out of the bag, (s)he will be punished by not being told additional information about aliens.
The commander can upgrade the KTS by equipping each marine with a second front-loaded mammal--a bloodhound puppy with a slightly larger range than the kitten. Structures can also be outfitted with small kitten cages for remote detection.
Alien snacking on the KTS is not encouraged, but the devs feel that it is part of the game and players would be acting in character if they decide to get some extra protein. RFK will not be applied for kitten/puppy snacking. Every tenth infant mammal eaten will trigger a temporary boost to marine health and speed simulating seething rage at kitten/puppy death.

I wouldn't want a training scenario introduced into the game because this is an online multiplayer game.
No matter how the training is set up, it will never be enough to really prepare someone for the game experience. Making it sufficient enough would make it too difficult for an unfamiliar player anyway.
This would would be nice for the sake of atmosphere (think the Hazard Course from HL: 1) as it would essentially be the equivalent of taking like what.. Five or Ten minutes of looking for, finding and reading the manual? Isn't the manual included with the Full Version download anyway?
Well, I voted for Marine Tech after flipping a coin.
I would also like to see Vehicles and Outdoor combat. Even though it would 'change the scope of the game', isn't that what we want? New experiences? However, I can see the cause for concern in an outdoor map. It gives a lot of strength to the aliens, who get access to fly with Fades, to a degree, and Lerks earlier than Marines do.
As you all should know my slight hatred towards what the BF series is, this is the reasons for not having vehicles:
1) Its an online game. Pubbing will be nigh impossible to have co-operation (what this game is aiming for, I hope) when Billy Joe is driving around all day in his TSA Jeep while Nancy Sall will wait in line, shooting the next person that tries to get a newly spawned vehicle.
2) Retarded ramming of cars. Sure, its cool every once and awhile and in the right moments to see TSA Jeep #79 come plowing through the side of an onos, but seeing it plow through friendly players is something I'd rather avoid.
3) Total dwarfing of infantry combat. The infantry combat will no doubt be left in the dust if vehicles is expanded far too much, and if this is the next "big thing" in the next version, I'm sure it will be. I can see possibly one vehicle being added, maybe two, but I enjoy the game for what it is now: Tight, close quarters infantry combat with aliens zerging out of vents. Running away from an onos .. (well I used to) and being destroyed by an exellent fade from half way down the hallway.
Please, for the love of god, leave the fad that is vehicles out of the game.

1) not truehave you ever played the mod Empires for BF'42 it was a RTS-FPS that had vehicles and whenever I played (which was in small spans due to CTD problems caused by the engine) people generally played together, have you ever seen 6 heavy tanks storming your base with a couple of bombers thrown in for extra measure?. Vechiles do not instantly equal = no teamwork. the method in which you get those vehicles does.
2)again thats not the vehicles fault people are idiots now is it? a simple HUD that shows where the players are on screen (like teh one in Dystopia or Ghost Recon 3) would help elimate that problem. plus if you implement the 3 strikes your out method then that would bring it down even more.
3)I've said this many times before, vehicles != tanks, they can be a wide range of things from boat to a lightly armed dropship. the less weapons a vehicle has the more it gives focus to infantry so NS:S could just have non-combatant role vehicles if flayra so choosed (this would also probably be fair for aliens aswell).
