Crashes!

<div class="IPBDescription">This is killing me!</div> Can anyone please help me?

I have Windows XP (I think thats probably it), and my HL / NS keeps crashing, some times about 40 seconds after joining a server. I think this has happened with a few of my Half-Life mods but never as bad as this, I have tried putting compatability mode on windows 98, messing with my BIOS settings, using the -nocdaudio command line, downloading the latest drivers. But still it crashes!

This is really annoying now, I can't enjoy the game thinking that it may crash any second, can anyone help?

Heres my specs:

Windows XP Home (Upgrade)
AMD XP 1.9
Geforce 3 Ti 500
On-Board AC-97 Soundcard
+7VTXE Gyga-Byte Motherboard

I can't understand it, all of my other games run great without crashing!

I have windows xp profesional edition and sometimes my ns crash. Nothing strong but i think is the ns code. Be patient. Download the service pack for xp in windows update. This increase the and fix xp a lot. Download the lastest drivers for video card and sound card (this second is the most important). If nothing of this fix your problem be patient for next ns patch.
