1337 crayon drawing!
Hello all, im sure the peeps in the irc chan know me, as I come in with a bang -- but for those of you who dont -- hello! I am an average mapper, I think. Some of the NS maps are really amazing and I dont think I can come up with such a quality map, but I'm still gonna try. Here's the concept for my map. I like the overall layout expect there is one change. The two long hallways will have twists and turns in them, so its not like you will be able to see down the entire way. Well on to the map concept.
Blue = Marine spawn
Black = Alien spawn
Green = Alien tunnels only
Red = Resources

Do you think I should get rid of the alien tunnels that lead behind the marine section and come out behind the resources?

No, I personally don't think the alien tunnels are too exessive.
Overall, you need more hives and content to the layout, as you know. It is also recommended that you have more than one route to each hive. From what I've heard two is ideal... I think.
I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out.
a whole lot more feedback is welcome
They would only have to make their way to one hive, and plow through the connecting halls until they find the active one... kill it... And then walk the brief trip down the joining hallway to the next active hive... kill it...
I may be a bit exaggerating, but you get the point.
I truly believe you would be better off disconnecting the hives. On the other hand, alien only paths connecting all hives is recommended. Just not marine ones.
