Communication between zombies? Trains loaded to the brim with weapons and armor? Crappy Metal music?

What the sweet hell is he thinking?

Can't say much about the movie. Trailer was the typical appeal-to-the-masses-with-exploisons-and-metal type.

Hope it's good tho. Zombie movies are awesome.

It has Dennis Hopper, Zombies, and heavily modified combat vehicles. A sure-fire formula for success!

I'm just glad it's not one of those trailers that gives everything away. Remember the trailer for What Lies Beneath? What's the point of seeing the film after being told the plot twist?

It should come as no suprise, Liku. Day of the Dead and its Bub character clearly show the direction Romero was taking his zombies. He's exhausted the classic style, as brilliant and timeless as it is - can't fault him for trying something new.

I still reckon it'll be a decent film.

They still look enough like zombies to me. If they were communicating by mobile phone or MSN then I'd be annoyed, since that's our thing, but primitive communication isn't such a terrible turn of events.

Those fools obviously haven't read The Book, which would have told them to head for high ground, and not stay in the city.

Ahahaha.... *thinks of the Orange film fund board adverts*

Looks ok I guess. Guns, large vehicles, plenty of dead (and live) things dying, it can't really lose. Then again I said the same about AvP being good simply because it had Aliens and Predators TOGETHER. So I dunno.

I dunno....I just don't know......I'm scared that it will be bad because the trailer looked like some lame action film, but that's what I said about the remake of Dawn Of The Dead and I actually liked that film a lot.

Well it'll certainly be worth watching, I've been waiting for too long for this. I thought the plot sounded pretty damn appealing, I like the progression through each film.

Its gonna be weird seeing a truly modern Romero zombie film tho - I'm used to buckets of unrealistic blood, with all this special effects malarkey we have today, it'll be looking like the remake of Dawn of the Dead - which LOOKED good.

Just have to wait and see though.

Well, you gotta think how much communication (without talking or weilding weapons, I believe I've read that they for certain don't do that) these zombies can in fact demonstrate. I would assume all they're doing is just motioning which way other zombies can go so they can surround people and box them in, which zombies have always demonstrated the ability to do anyways, so I think now they'll just be a little better at it, which is necessary since the characters in this film seem to be much more well armed against the hordes of the undead. I'll see it as long as it's still cheesy as all get-out, and Romero has NEVER failed on that one. He's to horror what Roger Corman is to the drive-in.

Gah! It goes against the principles of all xombie movies! All zombie movies have the same formula:
Mindless Zombies + Conviently placed Armories + Killing = FUN.

If the "communication" turns out to be a human who has somehow harnessed the power of the zombies for his own gain, I will personally track down and beat with a pole everyone connected to the movie, including anyone who claims they like it.

I think Day was the best of the three movies if we're talking serious zombie movies, but the old Dawn was absolutely hilarious. I have the feeling that Land will just be a good serious movie though. With Simon Pegg guest starring as a zombie.

Yes, yes. Well. Alot of people freaked out about Metal Gear Solid 3, too, asking just what in the HELL Hideo Kojima was thinking. It turned out swell if you ask me.

In my experience it's not good to go thrashing about on topics concerning legends of any genre, lest you be forced to devour your words when the world doesn't end.

Next thing you know, you'll all be up in arms about some movie Quentin Tarantino's doing, blathering on about what he's thinking trying to make a love story with Depp or something...

The plot sounds feasible. If you watched Day of the Dead, you know that a zombie learned to differentiate not only between different people, but also to build relationships, attachments, and dislike, as well as the ability to aim and fire a revolver.

That's a substantial amount of stuff for a sub-human that's supposed to be only a shuffling, bloodthirsty killer.

I have to say though, the remake of Dawn of the Dead was the most intense and thoroughly disturbing horror movie I've ever seen, almost toppling Hellraiser for the coveted #1 Horror Film slot.

That scene with the mother giving birth to the zombie baby was the most fundamentally disturbing image I've ever seen. It was the definition of horror.
