<div class="IPBDescription">o.o</div> Two questions:

Does the brand name not matter with monster cable? Is it only the AWG?

...and where can I get some 12 AWG cable, for a low price(i.e. give me anything below 100 dollars).

    There's always froogle:
    <a href='http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=12+awg+cable&btnG=Search+Froogle' target='_blank'>http://froogle.google.com/froogle?q=12+awg...=Search+Froogle</a>

Why would anyone pay $100 for cable?

Monster cable is for sound, not for internet. It provides sound quality difference that is matched only by an upgrade in actual speakers.

I know Radioshack has it for well under $100 I guess it depends on you need bulk amounts of cable or just a little bit.

Why not make some? All you need is a large amount of rubber, a large amount of solid gold/copperorwhareverelseisinem and a few friends. Just have a huge tug-of-war with the raw metal until it is stretched into a thin and flecible wire, then cover it with the rubber somehow, ta-da!

Also, I'd say that Monster Cable isn't worth the money, but I don't play music, I play drums. So I wouldn't really know.

I've never had any problems with any audio cable that I've ever bought, regardless of price. Seriously, unless you've got a very top of the line audio system, wouldn't it be much more cost effective to put your money into better speakers or a better amp/soundcard, instead of into cables? Do $15 cables really give worse sound than $100 cables?

We had tried 2 other types of cables including the radio shack ones,

one set had a short, replaced it, had another short, got different cables, something else wasnt right, got monster cables, work fine.
