Can't Find The Name Of A Song...

<div class="IPBDescription">"Johnny Jengo?"</div> We're reading up on Vietnam in my English class, and my teacher played us a song with an deep African-ish beat by a Rodd "something or other," it was pretty good. I asked him for the name of the song and it he said it was "Johnny Jengo," I Googled to see who the song was by but my searches came up null. Google tried to correct me with a song called, "Johnny Jingo" by Hayley Mills about kissing people... which definitely wasn't it. Because the song I listened too was about war.

Any ideas?

I can't recall anything but, "He may have won the battle but not/lost the war."

As my teacher joked about that line, because everyone would be singing it the next day.
