I don't find the idea of wearing a diamond made from a dead person/pet, much less a relative, enjoyable. Probably just me. I'd much rather leave them to rest. I wouldn't want a haunt in my (lackof) jewelry box. Having that done really says that you haven't entirely let go of your loss, which is unhealthy. Hard, but unhealthy.

Rather than paying thousands for me to be turned into a gem, which would be probably stolen some time in the future, I'd rather pay the cryogenic company to freeze my body and hopefully return me to life, when it is possible. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' />

If I had the money....I'd have that done to me. Then I'd have the gem placed into the hilt of a weapon, at the crossguard, and given to a member of my family. Of course, the thing would have a live blade. And if I had the choice, I'd have the weapon be a katana.

I care less about what happens to me after death, I just want to be remembered. If nothing else, I want to create an heirloom. Something that just MAY matter to someone.

synthetic diamonds require pure carbon, i wonder how they extract pure carbon from a body? The wiki says they use a portion of the cremated remains. hey if im gonna be diamonded, i DONT want to be burned and mixed up first!

Would the color reflect your regard to the force and the acts you did during your lifetime? Or would the color merely be physically determined? And would your force energy be manifested in the crystal itself, thus offering the lightsaber or its user some special benefit?

Suppose you ground the force Jedi gem things into a powder, then mixed some with gun poweder, and made bullets. Old school projectile weapons with the power of Force Destruction (remember Jedi Knight?)!
