Eh...+3 jump is not a good idea for a lerk. It's a waste of energy to flap that much, not to mention the fact that a +3 jump doesn't exactly raise a lerk's max speed, period. If pancaking is what you want to do, then +3 jump won't spam enough jumps, either; you need a mwheel bind to do that.
Google "half life model viewer" download that program and open up the models with it. You can go through any animation for anything in the game, and also make it so you can just see the hitboxes.
Actually 3jump makes lerking the easiest thing to do, I used to use a 3jump to lerk and it is amazing how easy it is, you just need to glide more and flap once in a while and you will have enough speed. But now I use a combo of mwheeldown +jump and space +jump when lerking

Oh, so you have a toggle to switch between +3jump and normal +jump? Interesting...that <i>might</i> actually be useful. Though the extra button press is more likely to get you killed than the millisecond difference in acceleration times....plus the fact that the only time I'm ever motionless as a lerk is when I'm in a vent, and flapping doesn't make you move any faster in a cramped space.

And as for pwning lerks. How about weaponupgrades? ^^ With wu3 they are easy to shoot down with nearly everything.
And i hate ppl with good lerkskills -_- they go lerk so soon (1-2 minute with some kills) most marines don't have a chance without decent upgrades against them.
Worst are the ones using 3jump scripts to dodge or get away fast. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd--> You DON'T need 3 jump to get away fast with a lerk. Two jump strikes and a hold and you are gliding at full speed. Other then that just press jump one or two more times every time you need to climb or change direction more then 15 degrees.
Rule of thumb with the lerk is move fast and don't fly predictable patterns. Straight lines are predictable.
If you can see the marine, then he can see you. So if you can see the marine, you better be not be an easy target.

It takes two back to back jumps to max out lerk speed, any turning will slow the lerk down. The easiest way to kill a lerk is to surprise it and take advantage before it can recover. I often kill lerks by simply standing against the wall and letting the fool go after someone else, then finish him off when he's low on energy or trying to escape. It is also a waste of bullets to try and shoot a lerk midair, wait for it to either 1) stop or 2) attack with bite before bothering to fire with the LMG. It takes a sustained lock to take down a lerk with a LMG or even a HMG, while the shotgun is pretty much 1 shot 1 kill (2 max for centermass shots). Simply shooting randomly against a lerk will not do much, and makes you an easier target. Often I fly around the room and run an entire team out of ammo before I even bother attacking, often resulting in the entire team dying to a single lerk. Once you've wasted your ammo, you are a very easy target. Sticking together with other marines is also not the answer, because clumped groups are spore targets. Spread out over a room and cover all the entrances, if the lerk flies in someone needs to be standing in EVERY doorway, otherwise it will simply get away and come back with full hp and energy. I personally prefer HMGs for dropping lerks, while I find shotguns to be the most dangerous when I lerk.
