I don't understand why I keep playing it. I hate the game. Hate it. Hate it. It ruined my day. **** that game. I'm on level 61 and it just keeps going.
Glad you like my game. More importantly, I'm glad you hate it for the right reasons. Do you all need closure? Like a final boss? Something around 100 to say, "I've made it! - I can bandage my eyes now" =P

i don't think we need a final boss, that's not the beauty of the game, personally around level50 i got a little tired of the same enemies over and over again, a little more diversity in that area would have been impressive, keep it in mind for V2.
oh, i found the bow system to be a little hard to understand at first without reading any help files, but a very good idea nonetheless, i was glad it was so intuiative after the first few levels, one of the things that i should mention is that the green aura around the bow was misleading, i didn't know where to click and hold exactly, and even a little in the later levels it was slightly awkward, but hardly worth crying over, just a little thing which, unfortunately, i have no idea how to improve, if you can't figure out a way to make it better, seriously, don't, it's good as it is.
another thing i found is that when i often found myself trying to set the archer and catapult "aim" icons above the actual playing field, by that i mean the area you can click, i often found it frustrating on the high-ish levels when i wasn't able to arch my archer/catapult shots over a little bump or something because i couldn't set the aim icons properly, i suggest making the playing field "limit" much higher, unless it totally doesn't work that way for some reason.
the only other thing that comes to mind at this point is how awesome it was everytime all four of my archers fired flaming arrows into the hordes of unwashed, quite a nice visual spectacle and the only thing that would make it better would be more arrows <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
in fact, another thing that would be rather awesome would be the whole thing on a larger scale, more arrows, more archers, more catapults perhaps at different locations, big battle field.
i don't know, just vomiting up a few ideas. but now i must go, the animatrix has been needing a good watching all morning.
- Adding foot soldiers you could buy would be nice
- more upgrade changes: Poxy mines didn't seem to work well for me, There should be a purchaseable 2nd flak arrow, upgrade the number of arrows/cannonballs each archer/cannon shoots at a time (or even different types of arrows!!)
- For some reason... i saw soldiers (especially archers for some reason) Teleporting under the ground and popping up half a screen away! Its kinda hard to defend when stuff can just pop up in between all your houses.
- Perhaps allowing the player to move the bowgun anywhere he wants on the starting castle for free? Some places i started where the bow gun was quite useless because of the angles involved and i ended up restarting the level (which seems like cheating)
- For an obvious point loss penelty if they die... you could call your population to battle. ZERG RUSH KEKEKEKE. ^___^
- Magic upgrades would be cool. Being able to call down lightning or a blizzard storm would look cool. You could even add enemy magic users much later in the game!
How the crap do you turn off autohints? Stupid thing stops me from placing the catapult/archer aiming icons in the area where the damn autohint pops up. Also, for the love of all that is good in the world... Comic Sans. WHY!! You couldn't have picked a crappier font. Made me want to gouge my own eyes out while playing the game. Also, it seems like I can't get a no-population loss bonus even when none of the homes have been harmed. Do trees count?
I had a few levels where the tagetting icon and the archer control circle were in the region claimed by the menu bar at the top and so I couldn't control anything. Perhaps an option to minimize that control menu?

i did, and do, but on this particular level it was an uphill slope and even at the best spot available to me my catapult / archers were horribly unable to hit any of the baddies until it was much too late to save my houses, because they were unable to arc their shots due to the low click ceiling.
I found the catapult/archer aiming icons counter-intuitive. I thought were you placed the icon would be where they would aim for, and automatically work out the angle to hit that spot.
<!--QuoteBegin-Aldaris+May 20 2005, 11:15 PM--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> (Aldaris @ May 20 2005, 11:15 PM)</td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin--> I found the catapult/archer aiming icons counter-intuitive. Or am I the only one with this problem? <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd--> That's what I figured as well.
I'd like to see the proximity mines changed a bit. If you have your bow power set too high, the bomb will be burrowed deep enough to never be set off by any incoming footmen. This is normally negligible in the lower levels, but in the higher ones, it is a big deal because their spawn flag starts off pretty much halfway across the map. This makes it really important to place mines in the correct places before those atually pop in.
I also like the idea of making your archer movable. In some of the stages, it is really difficult to aim at another point because a hill or tree is blocking the way.
And of course, we also need a way to turn off autohints <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Difficulty levels are now added. Easy is the level the game was at before. Anything above easy becomes more difficult much quicker. Getting past the first boss on hard or greater is probally not reaslistic unless you re-do some levels for exp.

victory is mien! i am free!
Or at least put under a forum called "Visual crack" that i don't look at late at night when i need sleep.
