<div class="IPBDescription">no good servers left for me</div> there's a depressing lack of servers lately. i cannot tolerate playing anymore. either the server has a max players that is too small, or the server is too far away from me, or it is so weak that everthing jerks around, or they are for combat mode only, or the autoconcede number is too low so the match keeps ending prematurely whenever someone quits, or the map change timer is to high so we have to play maps over and over repeatedly, or the cool things are stripped out of the maps, or ads are put in the maps on sprites which makes the game look so fake and kills the atmosphere, or the admins are tyrants on a power-trip who like banning people for minor things to provoke them into getting mad so that they can keep increasing the punishment to watch people squirm and won't let them back on unless they lick & suck their bum empty.
this is sad coz NS is the only game i have been playing and that is since it was first released and i want to play more but some people won't let me. so this essentially means i have to leave gaming altogether. at least until the new Unreal Tournament game comes out coz that's the only other game i'm interested in.

Though I suggest that you come back after sevral months away from NS... Something like that happned to me... but i kept coming back... Just give it a few months to get intersting and possobly there will be new maps and new servers by then...

New players come, old players go, that happens to every community. Some come back, some not.
Well, I hope that you will come back. ViPr: Are you looking for US or EU servers ?
And let me guess, you are using the steam server browser ? Better use ASE (the all-seeing eye) to browse servers, for it's filter capabilities.
For example:
1 if game ~== "ns" goto 3
2 remove
3 if mp_blockscripts == "1" remove
4 if map ~== "*co_*" remove
5 if map ~== "*siege*" remove
6 if cdrequired == "1" remove
That's the filter i'm using; Shows only ns servers not blocking scripts, not requiring "cheating-death", running no siege map or combat map (at the moment you refreshed). That's about 100 servers atm.
Could add a lot of things, like filtering out full/empty servers, bots, some dumb server plugins, or adding a "if amx_nextmap ~== "*siege*" remove", "if amx_nextmap ~== "*co_*" remove, etc

I'll second that. Decent server to reg at worst.
i tried nsarmslab and i got angry because they edited the maps to put their ad in them by putting them on sprites. if the servers want to do that then the ns mappers should give them blank tv screens to put their ads on so it at least looks like it belongs there instead of having a bunch of text hovering in midair that is always orienting itself to your screen no matter what angle you look at it so that it looks like a bug. also i assume that since they must have used ripent to do that then they also probably wouldn't have the decency to not remove cool stuff from the maps too.
anyway i still like the game. i'd be willing to bet i've actually played it more than anybody else in the world. i've played it more than i've played any other game and basically it's the only game i play. i've played every version of it. i got it so early when it was first released that i had to wait for the next day to play it so that i had people to play against.
my nickname in the game is not the same as i use here. i believe my game nickname got deleted by admins here when someone mentioned it, because of its hilarity, but it rhymes with Buchanan.
Nah, this isn't the only place it happens. I've seen it on all other forums I've sat on for a while. People just like to know that they'll be missed.

NSArmslab only has that sprite in the ready room, when you are actually in the map (Like when you are actually playing!) it is completely normal. If such a small thing bothers you then you have some serious issues and should probably get in therapy to resolve some of them.
How much time do you spend in the RR? 30 seconds at most. You are just looking for reasons to not be satisfied, you want to hate NS.

i am planning to leave either however i dun find another good game and aoe 3 is half year away from me. so i guess i am staying for a couple of months

I play on NSA all the time and havent noticed anything in game...It's possible I am mistaken, but really when was the last time you checked the server out? Give a specific example of one thing that has been added or modified in any of the maps they host (just saying they "may" or they "probably" change something in the maps is not sufficient.)

Now why would you ever voluntarily play on an mp_bs 1 server?
50+ lvls is one of them.
I used mwheel until I had to buy a new mouse every month because I kept wearing it down.
I can see the point of the other stuff in the list, but why do you put scripts down as BS? I understand why some dislike them but putting it down as BS is a bit far.

co_faceoff, took the armory out of the weldable door, put a "fun room" in the door instead. Said "fun room" causes idiot marines to hump the door in an attempt to weld it open, even though it takes about 20 minutes to get it open.
If you really can't stand NSA, try lunixmonster or better yet, fr13ns. Both great servers in thier own rights. Otherwize try bry's or voogru's.
If worst comes to worst there is also tonnes of small comunities around, most of them don't hold the highest play standard however.
