Blasphemous fascism.
So, I was visiting my mom and she asks me to tag along to walmart so she can pick up some gardening supplies, and I go along planning to pick up S.O.A.D's newest album, when I get there Im happy that there are a bunch left, and I soon understand why. I was reading the tracklist and on the side it said "EDITED VERSION" They were ALL edited. Is it just me or is this just disgusting, I mean, the entire point of listening to them is to hear them hate on stuff exactly like this. Censorship is a P.O.S, just because some people can't properly raise their children the rest of us suffer. Rant over. (No, I didn't buy it.)

They're Wal Mart, CWAG. A retail store chain. To proclaim in an accusing tone of voice that they're all about the cash is like blaming fire for being hot.

Fire also burns.
Food for thought.

Really, get off your little box and sit down. Censorship is a fact of life. Any respectful person censors themselves at some point. Most people do it everyday. Editing provides a compromise for parents who don't feel like letting their kids hear filthy language from yet another source. It only works for a few years, but the biggest market for nu-metal and angst metal is the 13-16 year old market anyways.

Family friendly=!Ruthlessness.
This situation could be resolved by buying it from somewhere else.

He didn't buy it there, one assumes he went elsewhere if he got it at all. He still has the right to complain
(although I've bought music from there in the past, and it has not been edited. They usually have both versions, for you, the consumer's, convenience.)
Remember how we had many, many huge trials a decade ago, and those others that were 2, 3, and 4 decades ago, all banning censorship?
Thats whats wrong here. What the f*** is the use of courts if they don't do jack s***?

Because you can shop at a million other places? Is Sam Walton holding a gun to your head and forcing you to see him for the relief of all those secret and dirty music needs?
Like I said - I'm nearly positive that Wal-Mart carries both versions (clean and unedited). It would just appear that the freakish nu-metal animals had already gotten to the unedited albums before our intrepid enemy of the state arrived there in the first place.
Or hell, maybe the explicit things I've bought there in the past were just examples of albums that had slipped through the cracks. In that case, get it from any of a billion other fine retailers around the country; an example being Amazon dot com (I've heard rumors that they'll deliver right to your house!).
Sure, it sucks, but it wouldn't exist if there wasn't demand for it. Walmart sucks anyway, I won't shop there if I have other options.

I can't get my music at the same place I get my milk and ice cream sandwiches because the bad man edited the bad words out of the CD and then wrote on the CD case that they did. Boo freaking hoo.
I blame the NS boards for censoring me when I say ****, **** or ****.
you dissapoint me
See that was your first problem...
Walmart like bans and censors everything
Dont go there to by overpriced content edited cds. Go elsewhere and get the real deal.
I laugh at you. I knew better since I was 10

Those trials established that recording artists had the right to distribute whatever they wanted. Those trials did not establish that retail store owners must stock things that they don't agree with (freedom of speech doesn't cover using the private property of others without their permission). If a court ruled that I had to allow a piece of music, art, or literature into my home or business even if I didn't want it there, that's *not* defending freedom.
As long as they can still sell the unedited version somewhere else, I don't see the problem... vote with your wallet that you prefer unedited music. Besides, it's not like the edited versions are bootleg--either the artist or (more likely) the publisher had to give a green flag to the edited cuts for them to be produced; Wal-Mart isn't going to actually censor music without permission--they wouldn't want to deal with the lawsuits. If you want to be **** at someone, be **** at the publisher that felt watering down the music was worth a the money.
