Mouse4 And Mouse5

<div class="IPBDescription">Logitech hell..</div> Hi people,

I bought a new mouse some time ago, I'm pretty sure Logitech MX310 optical, or something.

It has two side buttons, mouse4 and mouse5. By default they work for forward/backwards in internet explorer. I installed the Logitech drivers/software that came with the mouse, which included a file called em_exec.exe.

I found out some time ago that the 'extra' mouse buttons (4 and 5) would occasionally screw up and decide not to be recognised in games like NS. When this happened, I would have to alt-tab out, close em_exec.exe, open em_exec.exe, and repeat once. Then the buttons would once again be recognised ingame.

However, now these buttons have suddenly decided not to work at all in NS. Whenever I attempt to bind something to them ingame, a press of either button is registered as 'alt'.

Any suggestions? <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Use the driver software to bind them to an obscure keyboard key, such as Pageup/Pagedown, some of the function keys, etc. Then bind those buttons in HL to what you want the mouse to do.

    Eg. Pressing mouse5 fires F6 which Half-life ascociates with lastinv.
