Cant Play Ns On Lan, When Not Evry1 Got Hl Cd?

I cant play ns on LAN with my friends, without that they buy hl cd and get key, and steam?? atm we play some cracked hl game, and we got alot of mods for that version, like The Specialists, and so on.... won't i be able to do like that with ns?? and where to put it??

    The only legal way of playing Half-Life, or any of its MODs is for everyone to have their own unique CD-Key.

    You don't need the CD to play the old way of Half-Life, but you need a valid CD-Key.

    If you want to play any HL v.1.1.1.1 MODs, then you all need a Steam account, and your own, unique CD-Keys.

    Go buy everyone a CD-Key each, they only cost about a tenner, install Steam, then download Half-Life for everyone, then install NS.

    You can all use the same steam account, but the server NEEDS to be set to lan, or steam will complain 2 people have the same ID, and no one can join.

    I know it works, I have done it before <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    But you need a legit HL on that steam account for it to work... if it isn't legit: <b>Buy the damn game you cheapskate!</b>
