    Its not that I don't like linux.. ok I don't.

    The apple and the penguin are not... friendly in my world. (Perhaps I did something wrong though..)

    Its like that zombie simulator, the penguin are the zombies, but the apple is the military and the humans are windows.

    Thats is actually a good analogy... :-)

    See, I'd picture it differently.

    I'd put linux as the Humans, the Apple as the uh... almost human but not quite, but not zombie either, then put Microsoft as the Millitary and the Zombies!

    Cabewse... that would work.. .but you need to look at it this way.

    Windows are the humans.
    Mac's protect the humans
    Linux wants to take over the humans. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    so linux is the borg, windows is the federation, and macs are the ferengi?
  • CyndaneCyndane Join Date: 2003-11-15 Member: 22913Members
    Macs are the romulans, they hate both, but will work grudgingly with the federation.

    Take over and 'Free' are different <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    And Windows would be the Borg, Bill Gates coined the phrase 'resistance id futile'.
  • CyndaneCyndane Join Date: 2003-11-15 Member: 22913Members
    How are they different Caboosey...

    Linux wants a larger market share.. that is called taking over what is already there... aka zombies <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    ok ok, i think it get it, linux is the zombie borg, windows is the plague coupled with aids combined with mutated borg, and macs are the toads. with.... lazers.. or something.

    i still think macs are giant paperweights.
  • CabooseCaboose title = name(self, handle) Join Date: 2003-02-15 Member: 13597Members, Constellation
    Microsoft wants to take over all the markets... GNU aims to let people have controll whilst Microsoft aims to take over the world and eat ideas, like zombies eating brains!
  • CyndaneCyndane Join Date: 2003-11-15 Member: 22913Members
    See.. that analogy would work caboosey if Ms didn't already own the market.. but they do.

    So its linux as the zombies, and macs are happy with their current share (graphic design/movies/audiophiles).

    But you forget things like Google, which is a nice pocket of resistance. Microsoft's been trying to eat google for a couple years now.

    Enough with this stuff
    You see, it's so obvious
    Here, I will show you

    Linux is a pie
    Apple is an apple pie
    Windows is for jerks

    If google is able to do what I hope they try to do.

    I will find the CEO and have his/her children.

    MS uses linux for its concubine :-)
