Making Your Own Dvd Menu's

Anyone Know How. Google = Complicated
Ok basically, I have a nice shiny new DVD writer (8x Pioneer 109) and I want to put some video's from DDR-Freak onto a Disc to show a friend.

I've tried one method of putting them on disc but they just all play back-to-back and it's kinda annoying. All I want is a simple text based menu - nothing fancy or complex.

It's not for retail purposes or anything dodgy like that, it's just a case of too many file for a CD/VCD/iPod Mini etc.

So... can anyone help me out or point me in the direction of a site that can?

I've tried Google but it points me at complex tools or stuff that requires many $$$ worth of registration.

Thanks.

There-in lies the problem hun, it will require money in order for this to work unless you already have the software installed.

You are going to need some nice DVD burning software in order for this to work right.

I got Nero with the drive but there's nothing in the Menu's which indicate a tool that might be used for making menu's.

I know how to back stuff up and use .iso's etc - it's just the menu thing I can't figure out.

Anyone got a program with something like a 30 day trial that can be used?

Of course, it's for Mac, and rather expensive... Hmm...

Nero VisionExpress! is the built-in one. If you got a new version of Nero with it, then you want to go to DVD, then DVD Video, then Make DVD-Video.

Wait for NVE! to open up, then drag all your .avi, and .mpg files to the video browser.
Arrange them in order, then continue through the wizard. When it gets to the stage about making a menu, do just that

Since I don't want to make a whole new thread just for this question, can anyone tell me a good DVD-authoring program that can add softsubs to the video? I've already got NeroVision and it can't do it.

Premiere, Pinnacle studio(Windows), or Final Cut Pro(Apples) can do that Tommy.
