    I haven't been in France for prolonged amounts of time (a few day trips to Strassbourg, nothing more), but what I saw was... Ordinary. Not better, not worse, just a bit different around the fringes. If you can't cope with that, odds are you're about as flexible as the French chauvinistic minority that tries to keep English and German words out of the French vocabulary.

    Anyway, enjoy your stay, Mantrid. And, as a word of advice, if you happen to venture into middle Germany...     Azerty is great if you're french, I can't imagine writing anything french with a qwerty.
    They're different from german keyboards ("qwertz" I think)

    Apostrophe: the 4, without shift.


    France, for a tourist, is great. However I'm starting to think of leaving this country as soon as I can. No point in staying on a sinking/sunk ship.


    In other news, the "French chauvinistic minority" has decreted that WiFi is now called "ASFI" (Acces sans fil à internet, wireless internet acces) and WiFi is now gone of our official library just like email.However, ex-pm Raffarin has said he wanted to make English a non-optional course in school. Figure out what's going to happen.

    Note that there is now the Euro symbol (€) when you press Alt Gr + E. (Alt Gr being that key that allows yet another symbol on a key. For example:

    the ' key... Shift+' = 4, Alt-Gr+' = {

    Very much preactical, moreso than the qwerty, because there's much more things to do. The only drawback being the constant use of shift if you use numerals.

    I am French but I've been living in the US about 8 months a year now since I go to college there. I used to think France sucked but coming back makes me so unbelievably happy. It's not even about seeing my family, it's just about the small things that make Europe a lot better (in my opinion). I ate so much bread the day I came back home, it was great.

    Oh and I love azerty keyboards.
