<div class="IPBDescription">"Free Single Of The Week" Info Needed</div> Straight to the point here: Apple offer a "Free Single Of The Week" but in order to download it you need an iTunes account ID. In order to get an account ID you need to input a credit card number. (Or have an AOL account.)

Has anyone done this and had any weird figures show up on their credit card bill?

Basically I want the free singles via iTunes but don't want Apple charging me hidden charges. (You know it makes sense. :-P )


Advice please?

    I didn't find hidden charges, I downloaded a single file, but in fact it was so crappy I don't think I'll try again.

    But hey, it's free, go ahead.

    Cereal KillR is right, there is one pending authorization that is put on the card to make sure it works.

    That falls off after a few days, then you can download the free singles of the week to your hearts content.

    Of course its hard to beat $.99 per song even you just want one from a certain group... like say... Pink. :-)

    And if I had a card I'd probably sign up for the free single thing. But then, I'm sure there are ways to acquire these singles without a card.
