Im trying to use/learn how to use amxmodx but all the commands in the menus has # instead of numbers.
ive tried to do it by password but it doesnt work.
another prob i have is at times at random apparently, ns freezes. ( seems to happen when i have either wich, hive, or rc going )

how i fixed it is in the plugins area where the / or \ are, i switched them the other direction and it worked perfectly!

there are no steamids on LANs last tiem I checked. HL works with IPs then.
amx(x) commands are easy to learn. Type amx_help in console, amx_help 11, amx_help 21, etc.
if there is a # infront of a command its not possible to do that command (yet). For example, if you want to kick, and you naturally got immunity, you can not kick yourself, so your name has a #
in the users.ini:
"name/IP" "my_password" "abcdefghijklmnopqrstu" "ad"
the d makes you check the IP, not the ID.
in the name/ip field, fill in the name OR IP. For static lan, IPs will do fine.
I do suggest passwords aswell.
this is what i have currently, how do i find the ip i have to put it in and where do i put it in on here?
when in the game, how do i put in an amxmodx pass?
one more thing, what ports do i need to open becouse im going through a router, its for when im hosting on the net.

Be sure all quotes are left on. This is all you need for full access to your server.
id comes up saying something like id pending or something.
i'm at hastings collage with mmy brother-in-law, works here, hes an engineer and woks on he KFKX 90.1 radio staion thats there too.
so illl be doing some work with him so i wont be able to work on the game any today.

by the way depot, i found out why the / and \ where giving me a problem.
i cant remember exactly, but one of them means network lookup and the other means local lookup.
thats the resone i had problems with the plugins and stuff not working at all. lol
might want to put hat on our amxmodx thread to help the other people out about it.

also I said LAN does NOT USE STEAM IDS PERIOD.
So, let me hand you the new line you should be using.
So NOT:
"Liger_XT5" "password" "steam_0" "abfhijkltu" ""
BUT:
"Liger_XT5" "YOUR_PASSWORD_HERE" "abcdefghijklmnopqrstu" "ad"
To correctly get a pass and be more safe from "hacking".
* make a cfg file named adminpass.cfg (yes, this is in plain txt format)
* put the next in it: setinfo _pw "YOUR_PASSWORD_HERE
* make a shortcut for YOUR SERVER ONLY: "C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe" -applaunch 70 -game ns +connect 194.109.69.56:27015 +exec adminpass.cfg
Pls note that you must change the ip to YOUR SERVER IP.
Now if you use that shortcut, you load steam, load NS, connect to the server, run the password and gain access. All on full automatic
example:
start steam + then ns + create game + do miss option changes + START + do admin stuff + wait for players = now hosting my own 1 week/month server
just dauwned on me, if its kinda like mohaa ( medal of honor, allied assoult ) in the console, could I type "exec admin.cfg"
would that work? or would that some how be hacked too?
But if you are hosting a server for the internet, which I now get the idea you do, you indeed better replace the name by a ID. Further change "ad" to "ac" then
