custom server of any kind = steaming pile of feces
When a group of people with talent have made a good game, there's always some arse who comes along and decides it'd be a whole lot better if it incorporated all their retarded ideas. Then people start implementing those ideas on all their servers, until every server is basically its own game. Does anybody remember what custom servers did to ruin the Tribes community? The servers became so different from each other that there was no greater community to speak of, just small groups who played on each server.
Don't make NS into another Tribes. Quit using your horrible plugins.

I'm being extremely generous here, as most of the servers I didn't mark also have many mods; however, they just aren't visible in the title.
To name the rest of them,
Ixel's [FastDL] NS 3.0 by Ixel-Host.net - Extralevels2 v1.7e by Silent Skulk/Depot
[On|E] Lerk Jerky [NS/CO] - A few minor, not -too- game altering plugins are here. Latejoin XP, Hive/CC Status, some custom maps.
The worlds most EVIL NS server - Bots. Ten of them.
Snake-Den.org Chaos Fest CO or Vote - Same as Snake-Den.org Chaos Fest II, only this has a whopping 26 players.
Snake-Den.org Chaos Fest II - First of all, 24 player combat, wowow, 12 players on each team. Secondly, mp_bs is 1 (I didn't check if this was on the other servers, it just occured to me right now). Spawn invul lasts from 4-5 seconds, which is horrible. That's almost enough time for me to leap into the marine base (on co_faceoff) with celerity before it fades away. Finally, Extralevels2 v1.7e by Silent Skulk/Depot.
Edmonton In-Tech @ www.nsintech.simgames.net - Extralevels 1.7g, optional CD. mp_bs is le 1.
[~OFC~] Natural Selection v3.0 - Upon joining, I realized my ping was around the 400 range. So first I blame Steam. Second, mp_bs = 1. It was an NS map, so I don't know the rest, but there were also bots.
So what does that leave? Act of Sin [#AoS-NS] - > Pub < - and KoD NS/CO NEW NS server. Both are empty.
(While I was writing this, 2 people joined the AoS server.)
LOL
oh yeah i just realized i skipped the NSA combat servers. well i couldn't join them so there. they're also 32 player, which is a major horrible horrible thing for combat (lol 32 players on faceoff), but other than that they have no other plugins, I think

In one last, futile attempt, I'd like to point out that there is no mp_bs in ANY half-life mod other than NS. WTH mate.
If, and that's a big if, unfortunately, I ever get a server up, it'll be exactly what you're looking for CWAG.
Till then I mostly play freins and tactical gamer. Haven't tried that penguin server, I think I will soon.
I like both NS and CO, but only with 10 levels!
ns_siege007
co_de_dust
co_blackmesa_v998
ns_goopsiege_something
and a mvm map.
