Client Locks Up When Hitting Escape.

<div class="IPBDescription">My analysis.</div> Well to start things off, I tried using the search feature, but after about 10 attempts I gave on it because it wasn't working.

My current computer config is.

Athlon XP+ 2200 1.8GHZ
512MB PC2700
Radeon 9600XT (Catalyst Drivers)

My problem:
Whenever I play the game on 1280x1024 my fps runs terrible (15-30 fps), but it does not crash. When I change my resolution to 1280x960 my FPS runs smoothly, but as soon as I hit the escape button once ingame my entire computer will lock up.

Seem's odd, runs choppy/fine on 1280x1024 but locks up on 1280x960.

    Can your desktop resolution run at that resolution?

    Yes. Desktop resolution is 1280x960.

    So uh... don't hit escape while running at that resolution?

    I know, not really a solution. That's a unique problem, but seriously... why are you hitting escape anyway?

    Well, wait... I guess I forgot it brings up the menu interface, hah!

    i hit it often enough, instead of hitting cinsole button, so i get straight to the options section, or server section or whaterver, it is a perfectlhy feasable thing to do

    I don't really understand why it's doing that.

    I remember it doing this months ago and that was the reason why I stopped playing NS at the time. Console locks up my PC to.
