<div class="IPBDescription">On co_deimos</div> Deimos sucks. ALOT. Whoever made it needs to go back to closer to the original, now THAT was a map. No this isn't flame bait, and no Im not tryimg to personally insult you.
OK, problems.
<ul><li>
The big lift, why thats there, I don't know, it serves no real purpose other than giving marines an insanely easy camp spot against idiot aliens, once mr.skulk realizes how he will never climb up that alive he will stop going there.
</li><li>The hive, the hive is absolutely one of the worst in the entire game, the second a marine with resupply (or full ammo and can get resupply) finds a tidy spot its like fish in a barrel. The hive itself is positioned well in my opinion, however can be shot from the hallway with a pistol (some of the broken glass dosen't block that) Not only that but what leads out of the hive on all 3 sides? Long hallways, except one, that thankfully has a vent</li><li>Acidic water, I don't like the idea of it in the first place, but if you insist on using it, please stop making it burn you for like 5 minutes.</li></ul>
As I said, Im not insulting, and I would love to see an improved deimos. I never post in mapping so please move this to where it belongs if I am wrong.

I agree with all points. Bit harsh the way you've come across about it though.

I much preferred the original, in fact I'd go so far as to say that it was one of my favourite co_maps. This has changed so much it really shouldn't have the same name (co_somied, perhaps). The only thing that's recognisable is the acid water section, which thanks to the ladder placement and general layout has become extremely frustrating to negociate.
Pity, really.

finally glad someone posted about these issues
this is not just map fixing, its a completely new map. and this elevator... I just had to stop and laugh about it. first time I played it there were some clipbrushes missing so the guyin front of me got down the shaft without losing health.
shure, the new daimos does look way better than the original. but I my eyes it was not necessary to change the map COMPLETELY.
btw: this anoying sign is placed twice (at least) in the map. no offense but nobody should place the credits within the map in such way. remember ns_source where the credits had been part of the mines workers list <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

thats not it.
some mappers really work hard on their maps to get rit of EVERY problem that might mess up the gameplay. obviously maps that ARE official doesnt need to be this perfect...
