I still prefer AK style MAGAZINE,because calling it banana style makes it sound fruity
and the magazine looks a tad...angular...unlike most curved magizines...it looks out of place on a curvey gun like that.
I agree with the folding stock (as long as it looks like something a human could fire without causeing major bruiseing...as of a result of fireing a gun with a badly shaped butt pad.)and the railing is a good idea.Maybe make a scoped and non-scoped version.
dont forget to add that folding stock though

that looks a tad more ergonomic.Might wanna make it look smoother by combineing the 2 rails in 1 rail the size of the internal "pipe" ya got there...yeah I know it's the barrel...but the whole stock would looks smoother like that, just have it split from a single pipe to 2 rails.
and the LAM of the top looks a tad awarkward...try placeing it on the bottom.
Getting better mate i might go look at some ends of other guns and see which one could make this look good.
You got to start looking at your models more than just from one side, it looks fine from the side of the gun but looks really un-porportioned from the front/rear. I say go back, resize the barrel (you make your barrels too huge most of the time, remember bullets are usually no bigger than the size of a average pen in thickness) and keep the handgaurd, and make a TSAish ak74U out of it
*edit* oh I like the stock, looks like the composite stock I have on my paintball gun [img]http://www.hosting.nsagames.com/drfuzzy/pic/tippmann98-new.jpg
I don't really understand what's unproportional about it, the barrel is huge on purpose (I don't really care how small the bullets are ) And it obviously looks unproportional from the rear and front pictures I post, because I take them from wierd angles.
I would scale up the stock so it fits with the general scale of the gun
Well, the clip is streched on the Z axis too much and it could use more detail, the barrel is HUGE, the 'sight' at the front (I guess you call it) is a bit too tall, the frame seems small compaired to the handgaurd and the stock is tiny. Most of the stuff looks like extruded boxes, making it look funny. You should try to add more curves to the receiver area along the top, like an ak series weapon. The stock needs a locking mechinism. That kind of stock locks like this. You push down on the stock and swing it and it goes to the unfolded position. I would take screenshots of my paintball guns stock, but the pin broke so its kinda superglued to where it wont fold anymore
Theres a little box with a pin in it, it has a strong spring behind it that pushes the stock up into the locked position, you push down on the stock it compresses the spring and it lets you fold the stock. The pin is inside a small box, the pin also acts as a hinge for the stock. Heres a small diagram to how it looks (without the box behind it, I'm not the best mspaintist )
Fuzzy you're going into the way the weapon is designed, which is fine, but I'm gonna keep it this way. I did make the barrel smaller, scaled up the stock and took care on the tall front sight though. (Edit: and changed the mag) And I still have to make that folding stock mechanism.
couldnt of said it better fuzzy.
Im not sure if the stock clip is worth modelling in, you really wont notice it ingame if it does get that far. The model itself is fine, im not worried about the lack of curves, it makes the gun look alot beefier. So just scale down the barrel, scale up the stock, make the clip more rounded and in proportion, scale up the trigger/triggerguard and grip and then I think you will have a winnar
Ah model looks much better now. Maybe I should make a magazene for you, curved clips dont really seem to be your thing lol. To make a good mag, all you have to do is make a box, put some grooves in it, then extrude it and rotate as it goes down.

I think you need to patch up the back of the god towards the stock because as you showed, the back end of the barrel is there, and it looks like you can see straight through it...meaning,how does it fire
maybe make it a retracting version like on the XM8 sorry for image size
I love the original 'box' stock you had on that gun, I think you should have that and one with the other stock. This gun would be awesome for The Specialists btw.
Good work, I love the new stock. There are only 4 things that are bugging me.
The barrel was the right length before, but it was too wide. If you could lengthen is a little maybe it will look better. (to me at least)
The magazine is still a little off, the skin is distorted at the bottom.
The red dot looks good, but the back end is a total wall, it's flat. Maybe you can do something to not make it look to flat? Also it might look a little better if you shrink it height-wise. - Make it a little smaller still.
Last thing, similar to the red dot, the very front of the gun seems somewhat flat. Either you can extend the very bottom of the front into a built in laser or bring up that bottom extension at the front.
I dunno...I kinda like the unfolded a bit better. gives it more of an AR feel rather than a lil smg...after all it IS a light machine gun. Maybe you can move the red-dotsight to the bottom and add an ACOG 4x to the top...that would look pretty sick...hmmmhjmjmjhnnn you gotta look at that clip a certain way for it to work. I dunno why but it still looks kinda warped or something . I can't really pinpoint it..
The magazine looks stretched is what it looks like.
Im not sure i like the laser on top, maybe underslung would be better with a sight rail on top, But thats just my opinion.
And for the stock, screw it, you dont see it in game anyway unless you plan on making w_ and p_ models for this thing Which, i would suggest extended for p_ and folded for w_
Either way, its alot better than i could do.
A suggestion for mag, maybe make it like a side loaded mag? like the original lmg. That way it wont NEED to be curved to fit the gun style. Even angle it down a bit, so its rocked home at say a 45 degree angle?
My two cents, dont mean im right, or wrong, just things i think could help out.

Well, I dunno if you guys said this or not, but how bout you just hold in one handed, kinda like a gansta using an smg.
