Simple little question about Microsoft Excel.
Let's say I have a typical spreadsheet. It has a whole lot of names in one column. They are sorted alphabetically (very easy to do in Excel, I know that much.) I want to delete all the duplicates.

How do I do this, or where else can I look it up online?

Are you looking to replace ANY duplicates, or just specific ones?

Go to Data -> Filter -> Advanced Filter, and when you choose this option, check the "Unique entries only" box. There's other stuff you have to do to make it work well I think. (I think you have to copy it to a different column to get rid of the duplicates rather than hiding them, and I think that requires having a column title formatted differently than the rest of the column. I made a macro to do that a while ago, though the macro also sorted alphabetically first.) It shouldn't be too hard to figure out from there.
