Gamma/color Settings Not Reverted When Ns Exitted

NS crashed while playing, so it didn't revert my monitor settings when I ended the task.

Everything is now washed out, similar to how it looks when you alt tab while playing NS. Relaunching NS doesn't make the settings revert, it just makes it even more washed out.

Is there an easy solution, or do I have to reinstall my video drivers?

I'm using an nVidia card, so there may be na option in the nView settings that changes it back...

This kind of problem will occur in every game which modifies the gamma settings, and doesn't change them back properly when it crashes.

What happens, is that the game engine changes the gamma settings of the graphics card, which makes things lighter. When the engine closes normally, it will reverse these changes. However, if the engine should crash, then the gamma settings will not be reversed, leaving you with a washed out desktop, and little option but to restart the PC.

I have only ever wandered into this problem under 9x based versions of Windows, which includes 98, 98 Second Edition, and Windows Me.

Like I said, there is little options but to restart your computer...

Wow, all it took was a restart. I feel stupid.

    Thanks.
