<div class="IPBDescription">is yours?</div> I let my roomate use my computer when I went out to lunch and I came back and now my keyboard and chair and stuff are all sticky. What causes this and what can I do about it?     What causes this? Usually spilt soda. How to fix it? A hot, damp rag. If your keys are sticky (if that's what you mean) you can pop off all your eyes and put it in the dishwasher (without soap, of course. This will destroy a keyboard with a backlight.) I've tried it on my 80 Dollar Microsoft internet keyboard and it still works just fine.

    Label remover works well for most keyboards, but it WILL melt some older keyboards.
    If just the surface keys are sticky, it might be that your friends was eating some greasy food, and didn't wipe their hands before using your PC. Or it might be some other stuff...

    Probably sweat if the chair is sticky...

    i had a similar sort of problem - first time in like 6 years (since i got my PC <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->) that i ever spilt anything on my keyboard - my mum said "mind u dont spill that drink"
    and i flipping do, typical her, she jinxed me, it killed the KB so i got a new one for 14.99 <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
