Dungeons and Dragons Online
That's right! If you haven't been picked for the alpha yet then don't worry! Because nobody has yet ¬.¬
They've only just finished testing the alpha selection process and game client system today and they're in internal alpha testing at the moment (in other words only people who work for the company).
If you haven't applied for the alpha/beta yet then check out https://beta.turbine.com/signup/
For anyone else; keep up the waiting!!! :D
edit: linky fixed ^^;

I originally linked to the FAQ/News on the alpha status but the boards doesn't like it so I linked to the signup page instead :p
http://www.ddo.com tells you all you need to know really...
edit: grrr... stupid board didn't even turn that into a link @.@
If failure is not injected into my face, I would like to be a monk. Those guys are so damn cool. Chi power for the victory!
Okay. Why do they want to know where I live? Do they want to crash at my house or something? I bet they do. Moochers.
They're just hiding from EA!
(lol my material is both original and funny)
Anyhoo, what's stopping you from saying you live at 123 Generic Ave.?
Indeed. But only if they are not crippled like they were in NWN. What's the fun of being a monk without being able to jump several metres or outrunning a horse without problem?

Nothing. I'm just wondering why they'd think I'd put in my real address. (As it is, I put in someone else's address.)

I hear that!
I signed up, this should be fun.
I was planning a rogue/priest but I'm not sure in what amounts nor if priest is really my best choice. I might even go a warrior at level 1 just to get finesse then switch to rogue... waiting 3 levels just to use my primary stat properly is annoying ><
With rangers, you get two feats, very limited spellcasting, and favored enemies.

Nobody likes a good rogue. (:
Edit: Typed a class which didn't exist
If I assume a 18 for dex, the elven-ness brings that up to 20, which goes to 22 by level 8 and then 24 with gloves of dexterity, so a +7 mod....
Bracers of archery give me a +2, and a +1 to damage, and a Mighty Composite (+2) Longbow +2 makes that +4tohit/+5dmg, +5/+5 for point blank shots. That means I'm shooting at +19/+14, 1d8+5+5d6 for my first round's shots. Throw Quicker Than the Eye into the mix, and I can get sneak attack damage every round . I'm averaging over 50 damage a round, and they're bound to fail their fort save vs. death due to massive damage sometime...
Pick up a copy of the players handbook and read, should explain most of it. If you buy it at an actual book store, when you check out ask them to gift wrap it for you, and say it's for your brother.
They'll look at you funny otherwise.
Edit: I may think of picking up the handbook and lying about a brother... although I suck at lying.

You also typed in a race their leaving out. Makes me sad: I'm always half-elf if they offer it. Its too bad, but they say they wanna add it later.
I'm gonna be a Elven Rogue, and if kits are there, I'm gonna be the one thats like a Samurai. But the Rogues just own, and their especially versatile in this: All the dungeons have lots of traps, which makes it Rogue heaven

Looks like Gamefaqs won't be any help with this one!
Who needs GFAQs?
I missed that. That's a really cool feature - one thing I hated about NWN is that you could creep through a dungeon like a really good rogue, but you'll have to face a boss eventually...and then you're screwed.
Then again she was a perma-hastened dual-wielding halfing rogue... 6 surprise attacks to start any fight and most things had penalties to hit her because of her small size on the rare occassion they survived :3
She also had more potions than god and a fine selection of harm prevention belts... she could use scrolls to cast magic if she was bothered too.
Needless to say I stopped playing NWN when I finally got bored because nothing really challenged her and the novelty of her being able to sneak at the speed most people usually jog wore off :/
My sorceress was just as bad, it even got to the point where I'd open doors to get a crowd of guards rushing me only to close the door and blow it off it's hinges to kill everything behind it for entertainment... I called it guard-pin door bowling :3
Maybe it was just the single-player campaign but I kinda felt all the chars you could make got rather 'overpowered' rather quickly :s
Hopefully D&DO won't be so lenient ^^
Oh... and I'm sooo getting the tumble skill; it lets your real-time roll about in combat to avoid attacks :D
I did play NWN/make modules for it...until my disc got a big 1 inch crack in it and I've yet to put it in a DVD/CD-Rom drive since (...like it would read anyway ). My module was fairly cool, except the beginning areas were based off of my NWN character so the easiest stuff was designed for level 8. Plus I had rats buffed up that could take on level 20 people...in the newbie area.
...On the other side of the coin, I did cool stuff with the conversation editor, like a lizardman that lets you play a riddle game (but only once). Plus about 5 quests in the first area, too (like a kid asking you to find a stone to represent each of the 4 elements...the wind was hardest, I had to make a stone that was hidden but findable...so it's in the only place where you can hear wind...heh).
