<div class="IPBDescription">Hilarious!</div> The new patch owns, I like being able to disable 80 turrets to show the marines how retarded their old ways are now. Anyway this commander made a phase gate in an outpost with about 10 turrets evenly spaced, with gaps in between them, I was trying to get the turret factory when of course I accidentally go into the phase gate (I'm a skulk at the moment) at their base was even MORE turrets and I immediately died, but I as soon as I spawned I got a very good view of a certain green building...Was this commander that dumb? What's better is we just got the third hive, as an Onos I crouched my way into the phase gate with redemption just in case...(the outpost was under a ledge and I lost a bunch of HP slowly crawling towards the phase gate...Anyway I got in, hammered it for a bit, and redemptified. Soon I was back hammering it again, and because for some reason or another, the commander hadn't repaired it, I got it, the humans were defenseless, and knowing the turrets were useless I decided to go for the infantry portals FIRST...I got a few marines along the way but I got them all taken out. Pretty soon I was comfortable knowing that no marines would be coming back...all of the sudden DISTRESS beacon (I thought that only worked to respawn marines into the TELEPORTERS) so this scared the **obscenity** out of me, luckily I redemptified again, I came back, and STILL NO TURRET FACTORY (I was gone for a good minute healing) I assumed the commander was struggling with resources, took out the remaining marines and the communications array, then went for the comm chair and we won...Moral of this story, phase gates are very sensitive areas, defend them well on both sides, and if aliens start coming in consider recycling one of them ASAP, but whatever you do, NEVER put a vital building (especially one so vital as a turret factory) RIGHT beside the phase gate.
