<div class="IPBDescription">Well, some are not indeed.</div> 1. I cant set waypoints, sometimes when I have a Medpack(or anything else) in hand and dont want to drop anymore, I'd press Mouse right (cause I get used to RTS series) and it generates a waypoint. However when i do want a waypoint, its hard to click mouse right for one, even I want to copy the situation I above, well, doesnt work well.
So, is there any thing as a hotkey or i simply missed the right way(i think its mouse right but it USUALLY do not work).
2. How do I get to IRCs (Internet Relay Chatting)? Is that chatroom like in old cs1.5 ? And how do i get into IRCs now.
3. Is the word "noob" meant "newbie" or "moron", you know there is no such a thing in dictionary.
4. What are your com settings ? I have a mobile PC that is P4 2.4, 512 ram and 64 graphic card, use 640*480 solution. When i just move without other players or structures insight its 60 fps, when it came to fight usually 40-60, when comm drop med/ammo or pg insight, it can be 30 for an istant, after switching several maps (in classic pub now, thats 2 hours or more), it runs slower and I restart my computer for better, cause many times it does stopped died, I had to restart anyway, and the low fps by then, it can stop right at a fight, or not, low fps equals to very annoying. Is that the right way to do? Is my computer good for NS play(consider pub as well as competive, is it too low)? Do you suggest upgrading my computer? And how about your computers? What solution do you use ? It seems to me higher solutions provide lower fps plus a wider sight with a better clarity.
5. How about scripts? I knew very little about them, but it seems to me there had been an long argument on the use of it. I saw some scripts in configs but not quite understand how it BENEFITS. Where can i see some basics knowledge about it(http links, maybe?) and download some common ones to use?
6. There is a good thread in Kahraa Strategy about Bunnyhopping, I saw links on animated instructions and everything, I just press A at the same time roll wheel (they say beeter not use spacebar) and starts to turn mouse, then press D and wheel and turn right, however, I quite believe I still never made a right one. So what might go wrong? It seems Bunnyhopping make player take less time on the road to front, is that true? And is there a script that can do the work? Also, are there any other moves or tricks that can be benefiting the play?
Yeah, I think that's all. Thanks for patient reading and answering.

2. <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=92047' target='_blank'>Check the "New Player Forum"</a>
3. noob means someone that's new to the game and doesn't know much... Or someone that ignores you and acts like an idiot.
4. I get 100fps steady... (with 4x AA turned on). [MSI GeForce GT6800, 3.12Ghz P4, 1gb DDR400 DC]
5. This one bugs me, seeing as there's a <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showforum=62' target='_blank'>Scripting Forum</a> listed on the forum index...
6. Check the scripting forum.
<b>This should really be in the new player forum also...</b>
A nice easy no frills one is found at <a href='http://www.mirc.com/' target='_blank'>http://www.mirc.com/</a>

ok that isnt much of a quote, mostly of my head, cant find where i have any proof of it eaither, but thats about as true as robots will take over the world ( ok maybe not that either lol ) <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Noob is, without a doubt, the most versatile word in gaming history. It can apparently be used for almost anything. The most common definition I'm aware of, however, is "a person who doesn't agreed with everything I say".
</sarcasm>
God, I hate that word. Not nearly as much as the people who throw it around all the time in any context for no particular reason, though.

And I've seen exactly the opposite definitions before (switching the definitions), so apparently it varies.

Newbies = Good
Noobs = Bad
2. Get an IRC client (MIRC is allways good) and connect to irc.gamesurge.net, then join #Naturalselection . That's our official chat, and there's allways... intresting conversation there even though we seem to attract far fewer idlers these days.
3. Arguing over internet lexicon doesn't make you clever. Heads up. Newbie means n00b means nub means whatever.
4. I'd get a better graphics card if it's having trouble running HL. I have a similar system you do except with a radeon9600pro 128mb and get max FPS all the time.
5. I don't advocate scripts, but I'm sure if you look around the forums you can find plenty of examples to download and use. They allow for the automation of certain tasks, paticularlly making bunnyhopping either, but don't believe people who run around yelling "OMG DODGE SCRIPT WTH". You, in general, need to be at least reasonably skilled to make any good use of a script, since you need to know HOW to use it.
6. Bunnyhopping is difficult, and requires split-second timing. Practice practice practice.

You'd be surprised how close your sarcasm is to reality.
Pre half-life newbie and noob etc all meant the same, somewhere within the first year to a year and a half of half-life being about, noob became a "title" rather than the persons experience in the game.
And yes, its also used when someone does something stupid.
There are people who download a game, and pick it up within a few hours, or less, these people are newbies.
There are people who download a game, and haven't picked it up in months, these people are noobs.
Too many definitions for the word, best to, as the thread started said, use the word moron, and substitute it with noob, I think that works best.
