I'd just like to pop in and say that while I still like this forum, I do think the mods go about it all wrong, and I agree with the OP. If someone makes a trolling comment, a mod should pop in and tell people to get the thread back on track and temp/permaban the troll, and things continue as normal. Far too often good debates or fun threads are ruined because of one jackass who can't keep his mouth shut.

Edit: that being said, I don't want anyone to interpret this the wrong way. It's not like I'm picky, I don't hate any religion over any others. I'm prejudiced against <i>all</i> religions except agnosticism because no one knows anything for sure when it comes to religion. That's the point; it's faith-based.
