Um did I miss out on something? I asked about this a while back and they said aliens won't be building anything but now they can? I don't get it, can someone fill me in.

For what i've seen the builder is big and phat (from screens) and the lvl 1 small and thin which means the builder will probably be more tough but slower which still has some interest specially if they are a good backup force (remember TF medics? the same but tougher and slower, which was medics problem, they were the 2nd fastest class and they were used to attack not to backup offense).
Yep, what Huan describes is fairly close. The builder is a support role, not a real fighter (though he'll definitely be helping in combat frequently).
We haven't released any info about the alien buildings yet, but I assure you, the aliens can build many structures and will proliferate as much (or more then!<!--emo&;)--><img src="http://66.78.33.98/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo--> the marines. In our earlier playtests, one of the things that really bugged me was that aliens couldn't "spread" or change the level. The aliens have been changed quite a bit to allow them to create structures and modify the levels around them.
