<div class="IPBDescription">Look inside...</div> Okay, last time we had a discussion on who would win between Blade and Riddick. Now, we bring out two other characters in the OT Arena to duke it out, and you decide who wins.

<u>Remember</u>, this is on the characters themselves and not the actors. Use whatever in-movie material you have to back up your decision, although in this match one character has more material to grab from, but this is still a practial fight. Your two characters are:

James Bond

and

Jason Bourne

    Jason ftw. Oh man I love those movies... I love the whole europe setting with holywood action/stunts/lightning. And the moves just totaly rock.

    And besides, what gadget could win against someone that kills you in less than 5 secs with whatever he can get a hold off.

    Jason Bourne...If you've read the books you'd know why. I mean I love Bond, and he would win if the objective was picking up women...seeing as Bourne met his wife by kidnapping her...but in a fight Bourne would destroy bond.

    I must admin that Bond is a little bit of a martini addict, but Bond knows everything Borne does + he has the experience. After all they both were trained for around the same thing but bond has lead countless missions to victory.

    You're not the only one....

    Well if it was any of the Bonds except Sean Connery it would be close.

    If it was Sean Connery, Bourne wouldn't stand a chance.

    Your knowledge of hollywood never ceases to freak me out. But then again I'm horrible with actor's names. I usually say things like "that guy with the face and the hands" and of course that means Marlon Brando. And so on.

    The Bond from the books would kick some serious Bourne ****, the Bond from the movies I'm not so sure, maybe the Timothy Dalton Bond in Liscence to Kill he was pretty hardcore.

    QFT, Sean Connery was THE best james bond in my opinion. Whenever I hear his voice in any film right away I think "Bond"

    it all depends on the nature of the fight.

    In a straight out fight, I would say bourne. Bond always felt a little more clumsy in that area and his resourcefulness extends to gadgets, guns, or a big military vehicle. Bourne on the other hand can incapacitate a man who has a sub-machine, knife, etc. gun with his hands and a pen.

    Bourne,cos all he has to do is send out a female ('Bond woman') against Bond,and while he's distracted enough to flirt with her like he does in all his films (probably),Bourne pulls out a gun and takes down Bond. Remember World is Not Enough? Evil woman seduces Bond,never notices until it's nearly too late.

    Okay, because I am nitpicky, I am reminding you peeps that the premise was to base it off of the characters and not the actors. We all know Sean Connery kicks **** with his accent alone, but we also know that Matt Damon can kick **** without Ben Affleck. But the characters are what I am talking about here.

    In support of Jason Bourne, his intelligence seems to be way more off the scale. One of the things that I picked up on that Jason Bourne used was why he looked at "Die Welt ist Keine Ware." It was a demonstration poster and had mid-afternoon listed on the Square and Jason only got a slight glance at it. Bourne is very adaptive to his environment and it shows throughout the two movies. (" I can tell you the license plate numbers for all six cars parked outside.") For comparison purposes, I could think of him as a coyote.

    In support of James Bond, his gadgetry and his ability to adapt to any car and/or woman (and yes, I do mean and/or, remember the BMW?) rather fast is excellent, and he goes around well dressed most of the time, as you should if you have a license to kill. James Bond is not so much for martial arts as he is with just punch the f-er and knock him out and have fun with the girlfriend. He is what a lot of guys like to be; mysterious, good looking and invulnerable to martinis.

    Both have a good knack for languages, and both seem to use anything that is handed to them pretty well.

    Here are some pop scenarios for you all to discuss:

    If Jason Bourne was assigned to take out James Bond, would he succeed?

    If James Bond was eliminating everyone associated with Treadstone, would he eventually succeed in finding Jason Bourne and eliminating him?

    Arena fight with no weapons, Bourne or Bond?

    Quake 3 Arena DM, Bourne or Bond?

    ...sorry, I couldn't help it for some reason.

    With that laid on the table, let's see where the tides turn.
