Mouse Issues

mx510
Well a month ago I bought an MX510. It was good at first. Then every once in a while playing ns, my sensitivity would fly up while holding a mouse button. Like using the right click menu, my pointer would just fly around. Trying to shoot skulks, and it would be impossible to aim with the sensitivity feeling like 2 million. It would only jump up while I was holding a mouse button. The only way to fix this would be to quit NS then just launch it again.
Now the problem changed a little bit. Now I will launch NS and my sensitivity will feel like it's 2 million without me holding any buttons down. So i just quit and launch again. It is always fixed the second time I launch it. But if I walk away from the computer again, then launch NS the problem will return, so again I close and relaunch.

I have reinstalled drivers from the cd, problem remained. Downloaded newest drivers from logitech. Still the same. Anyone else have problems like this with MX510 and NS?

It's not such a huge deal, since i can quickly make it go away, just very annoying and I wish it would go away permanently.

My only complaint with the MX510 is mouse4 triggering mouse3 as well.

I love my MX510, but on occasion my sensitivity seems to increase. I back out of game and go to options to check, and it's still set where I like it, yet when I return to playing it seems ultra-sensitive.

yes that is what is happening to me. It rarely did it at first, and only when I held down a mouse button. Then it just started doing it every time I launch NS after not playing for some time. I have to quickly close and launch again, and problem goes away. I usually play with high sensitivity anyway, 28, but this is just too much.

Someone's gotta know how to fix it...

    That bug is so annoying...

The remedy is to uninstall logitechs **** drivers and use windows standard instead. Works much better.

Why would they? Are you to lazy to try it yourself? Afraid that i might lie and make your computer explode?

The only thing is that you won't be able to use Logitech's version of Alt+Tab. What a loss.

Indeed. Drivers are more problems than they're worth. Install drivers only to the point where Device Manager has no yellow "!". You don't need drivers for mice, unless you use all 5+ buttons.

(When I bought my laptop pre-installed with OEM drivers and lameware I formated it without question XD. I'll find the remaining drivers one of these days.)

I use the MX510 in USB mode so had to install some extra drivers. If you use it in PS2 mode you should not need any drivers.
