    @TheJim, playtesting proved this to be the exception, and not the rule. I set a mvm map up with 8 nodes (co_2front_b09). This is a much smaller than normal combat map, yet some of the best Territory matches I've played have been on it.

    I can try modifying one of the smaller ns maps though. Which ns map do ya'll think is the smallest and would work well with this?

    When the vote comes up, everyone votes to play standard combat.
    NS:T is a good idea gone horribly wrong. Regular combat is more fun than NS:T because all NS:T is combat, except you build things. Otherwise it is the same game. And why play combat if you want to build things? That does not make sense, the building of nodes just breaks up the structure and flow of the game.

    i have to say it is exactly the opposite in my eyes:
    It gives the game a nice flow while you defend your own and attack your enemies structures!
    Especially sequential is always lots of fun!

    I'll agree with this to some extent. Example being "Tech War." Tech War is nothing but a frustration. This could also be applied to "Capture All" and "Res War." It is pretty much the same game but you build nodes.

    I'll disagree with him on things like "Sequence Capture." I really enjoy that game mode - and a new flow is created. It's too bad minimaps can't be put in (that would make it so much better.) The only thing annoying about Sequence Capture is how it abruptly ends when one team gets the nodes.

    We've got your point, and we can respect that. Like other game-altering plugins *cough*extralevels2*cough* it does affect how the game is played. Perhaps you'd enjoy a plain vanilla server more?

    I don't know if I have a favorite mode, as I'm forced to play all 5 fairly regularly. I DO know that you can cram 8 nodes on a small map and have plenty of fun though.

    Yes, because in standard combat, spawn camping will generally tend to include attacking the hive/cc also, so it won't go on for a long time.

    All right, that's a valid point.

    But I've yet to play in a Territory game where spawncamping was an issue.     In the short run i think a spawninvul plugin could help.

    Thanks. But do you have any idea why these wouldn't be showing up on the steam browser? I have all filters off.

    Oh btw, are Territory maps just regular co_ maps? Because the servers you listed are running maps that are just regular co_ maps.

    Don't know if Steam Browser will pick Territory up.

    As to the maps, you cannot tell by the mapname. My server runs a couple dozen territory maps and only 4 have ter in their name.

    Is it possible for a mapper to create doors around the spawn area that are opened only by marines? It would still be possible for aliens to get in, but not on their own so marines would be wary.
