Covers Of Tv-games Based Music

Found a swedish guy who have a interest of tv-games music and making covers.
His name is Jonas Tunander, and performed his first live concert in Arvika Festival.
He is remaking them and make the tracks by different instruments.

downloading now, already heard the megaman II - Airman track. It sounds okay, but i think his timing is somewhat off, might just be me though.

Imho he should use more Keyboard/piano and less Guitar >_<

That's so hot, he kinda messed up the LOZ theme though.

Meh. His stuff is average at best. All the songs he does have been done dozens of times before by other people. His rendition of the FF7 Cosmo Canyon theme was downright awful. Much, much better stuff on OCRemix and VGMix...

I'm not gonna be quite as sharp as doomeh on my comments but I'd have to agree that the songs are just 'ok' and I often feel like there's something wrong or just missing with them.

Funnily enough I thought the airman tune was off-timed as well, but then I listened to it a few more times and it's pretty much on the beat as far as I can tell. I can't put my finger on what's wrong with it exactly but there's definitely something out of place, it felt like the timing but I can't see where it'd be wrong :o

The edge of soul wasn't too bad, but it's so cheesy and upbeat you'd have to seriously play it out of tune to really mess it up anyways :3

Btw, I think the Airman tune's on-beat and stuff. Just sounds weird being as alone as it is, and he also does some weird stuff where the original has a lot of fast notes. Personally, I don't like this track because it's so... Well, boring. Are all of them like this?

Guess I just don't like his style. A lot of these, especially Aeris' theme, just sound... I dunno. They don't give off anywhere near the same vibe the original versions did.

EDIT II: 'Cept for the Turks theme, that one sounds right :o

EDIT III: Holy moly, completely botched the Super Mairo 3 overworld song D:

I guess it's sort of a hit or miss deal, with a lot more misses than hits.

The orginal Aeris theme is playing on piano/keyboard, and he is playing it on a guitar.
That's what make difference, but i really really like his version of Aeris theme.
Sounds not like the orginal, it sounds different and some feelings remixing.

The same with Cosmo Canyon.

I admire him to even do something like this, i think he have put some hard work at this.

FF7 Jenova theme is pretty cool. Must her Aeris's theme now to see how he did that.
