In breaking news cron taught me that you can cook-off nades. All this time and I never knew XD Oh wells... at least I know how people conc/nade jump now :p

if you hold down the grenade button you'll keep it in your hand instead of throwing it while the timer goes off. To conc jump you just keep it till right before it blows then throw it down and jump so it goes off directly under you blasting you skywards :3
I knew about using conc explosions to push you up, I just never knew you could hold onto the nades like that so I'd been throwing them on the floor way ahead ofme and trying to reach it in time so I'd be jumping over it when they went off ^^;

I can semi-successfully hand-held conc-jump, but I never drop it. I also have a script whereas one key is immediate release for a nade (where one may wish to *cough* spam *cough*), but the alternate key is a double-tapper, ie you tap it once to prime and tap it again to toss ... it works VERY well. How can you have played TFC for so long without knowing that you can cook off nades? Even I knew that. Never wondered why people sometimes seem to throw nades that go boom right away?
