<div class="IPBDescription">But woe! Game minimises when focus lost!</div> <img src='http://xs39.xs.to/pics/05303/S4200047.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

Le secks.

I wish to be able to be playing a game, such as NS, on my LCD and also to be able to type in IRC on my CRT.

I hit console in NS and move the mouse across to the CRT. This much is fine. However when I click on IRC to select a channel, NS minimises. Whenever a game loses focus, it minimises.

I have "UltraMon" installed and it does a few nifty things but I can't work out how to get it to do this.

Does anyone have a solution for me using UltraMon or otherwise?

There's lots of possible causes for this. Please give us your Video adapter details. (Or teh details of both cards if you have an AGP-PCI setup instead of one card doing both monitors)

    GeCube Radeon 9800XT 128meg.

CRT is on the VGA output, LCD is on the DVI output. LCD is main, running at 2048x1024x75. CRT is secondary, running at 1024x768x85.

Someone mentioned a "Stay on top" option somewhere in the drivers/ingame but I've been unable to find such an option.
