They also got some a year or so of warranty left on each part so there's at least some guarantee.

So tell me what am I missing? Why is this thing so cheap?

The most important question is: Do they ship overseas?

The two-video-card thing is because they're in an SLI configuration.

Current SLI is based on technology that nVidia gained when they bought 3dfx.

The old SLI technology was used with two Voodoo cards. Basically, you connected both of them together and each card would render one line, then skip the next line (this process is called interleaving). This way, each card is only rendering half of the lines that it would be rendering alone.

nVidia's new SLI technology is used by connecting two of their SLI-enabled PCI-X cards together with a small bridge. Instead of interleaving, the load is split as evenly as possible between the two cards. So if the bottom of the screen has a lot of polygons and the top only has very few, one video card might get 3/4 of the bottom of the screen to render, and the other card would get the other 1/4 as well as the top of the screen.

Right. According to nVidia, it can lead to up to double the graphics performance in applications that rely heavily on the videocard.

That's a pretty nice rig, the mobo is of exceptional quality.

You'll also need a sound card if you don't want to use the onboard integrated sound that's on the mobo.

    And a moniter/speakers/keyboard/mouse, obviously.

Except they're only 6600GTs, which means you can get a single card, with better performance, for the same price.

    1. See if you can get a CPU with the newer Venice core.

    2. Get a MSI K8N Neo4 SLI Platinum, you get a 24bit SBLive on it which is much better then the more common AC97 and saves you the buy of a soundcard.

    3. Get a 6800GT or Ultra, then another one for the SLI when you can afford one. Or better yet, a 7800GTX <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

This is just my opinion. Take it as is.

    EDIT.

If you are determined to get 6600GT's, the Leadtek Winfast's are great and got the Anandtech Editors's Choice award. They are cooler, quieter and generally overclock better then the rest of the bunch.

    EDIT #2

Didnt see that this was a complete rig at an auction and if the guy is selling for 500 euros, then that is simply too good to be true, so beware.

Meh. Onboard sound still uses more of the CPU than a seperate soundcard would, I believe. I definitely noticed a difference in performance after upgrading to an SBLive 24-bit, from an onboard SoundMax Cadenza.
