Now, back to illegal immigration: it's called illegal immigration for a reason, and I'd be hard pressed to support it as a concept. However, black and white values become very muddied when you put a human face on the situation. We ate lunch at a migrant shelter one day, where people who had been deported go until they can get back on their feet. This one man sitting across from us told us his story of how he had gotten there. Apparently he had a wife and two kids back in San Diego, all of whom were legal citizens. He also owned a contracting business, which was quite profitable. He had a nice home, a nice income, basically the American dream. The reason he got caught was because his brother had been caught, and through him they found this guy.
Now, after hearing that, what am I supposed to think when we ask him "Are you going back?" and he replies "Tomorrow."?

Fixed also.
As Spooge was so kind to correct, its people who come here illegally and do so in such massive, unsustainable, numbers that bother me.
Vosotros is the plural informal "you", best translated as "y'all"
And only Spain uses that any more.

I just wish they would put the same effort into fixing the problems in their own country.
Why not create a Mexican dream?
For that matter, if he had all this stuff why didn't he begin the process of becoming a legal citizen? Perhaps because he no likey the tax man?
Why give back to the system when you can take take take! Its win-win until our decaying infrastructure, swaying like a poorly built bridge in the wind, finally collapses.
