Can't Connect To Lan Server

I seem to be having problems with Natural Selection. I don't have this problem with any other Steam games I have. I get this error message when trying to connect to a LAN PC... "Error Verifying STEAM ID. Server was unable to contact authentication server, 27." I have dial-up, it's my only ok option to the internet. I have all PC's up-to-date with Steam. All PC's have a 192.168.110.1-4 IP address. I hope someone can help me. Brothers and I would love to play this game on a LAN.

That's your best friend at this point...
Failing that, when you go to create the listenserver, make sure you've got "LAN Game" checked, which stops the server from verifying SIDs. Also, make sure that no PC is connected to the internet, and everyone has their Steam installations set to "Offline Mode".

I've got the server on "LAN Game" and all PC's are in Offline Mode for Steam. I still get the error. Could it be a bug in the new version of NS. It could be my slow connection corrupted the .exe file. What/Where do I put, sv_lan 1? Last, I have RCBot installed on all PC's.
