<div class="IPBDescription">aka. omg help</div> So I went to turn on my computer today, and just before I get to the Windows loading screen. This black screen pops up saying something about drives not detected. Press F1 to continue or F2 or something like that for more options.

I pressed F1.

Windows boots up. I go to my computer. CD/DVD drives and my CD Burner drive is no where to be found.

I insert a cd into the tray and it makes lots of sounds like its trying to read the disc but nothing ever happens.

So my brilliant PC buddies, what do I do.
And how did this happen?

Check if the power cables have come loose.

Check that the IDE cables are secure.

Check the Master/slave configuration on all the drives.

Swap the drives onto different parts of the IDE cables.

Thats what I'd do. And I have done things like that before. I tell you, Master/slave configurations and cable positions make reattaching four drives a ****.
